A corresponding Heat/Cool dual-mode version exists in the same series (TWPH-8550EHC10), while the EHT10 suffix indicates it is heating-only. Based on industry sizing guidelines, this capacity can serve pools of approximately 27,000 to 40,000 gallons, depending on climate, shading, and usage habits. COP ranges between 5.8 and 6.1, delivering excellent energy efficiency.
Vertical Discharge and Compact Design: It features the Crosswind V signature vertical discharge design, where air is expelled upward from the top rather than sideways, making the unit more compact and suitable for space-limited equipment areas while reducing airflow interference with surroundings. The unit weighs approximately 286 lbs and can be installed on a standard equipment pad. Smart Energy Management: It supports hybrid heating control, able to work with a Raypak AVIA gas heater to automatically switch between the heat pump and gas heater based on pool water conditions, maintaining the set temperature in the most energy-efficient way.
Maintenance Convenience: The control junction box (J-box) can be quickly removed, and together with the extended control wiring harness, it makes inspecting and cleaning internal components easy. It features a powder-coated steel cabinet, more durable than plastic housings, while also protecting the evaporator coil. The four-blade fan design reduces operating noise.
